Clubs & Activities

CPA is committed to building a school community that reflects and supports the students who choose to join us. Clubs and extracurricular activities begin in the fall and are held after school. Signed permission slips are required for participation. We offer a wide variety in order to support students’ interests and needs. CPA currently hosts the following clubs: Board Games Club, Chess Clubs, Sustainable Design Club, Tutoring and Studying Club, Senior Council, Debate Club, Pride Club (student leadership group) HBCU Majorettes, and National Honor Society.

ATHLETICS

Crossroads Charter Schools’ Athletics Program provides our scholars with educational experiences and learning outcomes that contribute toward the development of good citizenship.

One objective of school athletics is to serve as an extension of the classroom. There are strong lessons to be learned and high standards to meet of sportsmanship, ethics, and integrity. It is up to us to provide the direction and constant vigilance under which good sportsmanship can prosper and have a positive impact on our children, the leaders of tomorrow.

According to research, when students are involved in extracurricular activities, they perform better academically, they are 4 times more likely to attend college, and more likely to promote a healthy lifestyle. Our athletic program is a great opportunity for students to experience these positive benefits!

CPA is officially a full member of Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA)! MSHSAA promotes the value of participation, sportsmanship, team play, and personal excellence to develop citizens who make positive contributions to their community and support the democratic principles of our state and nation. MSHSAA governs student eligibility for participation in many extra-curricular activities. Also, MSHAA has released an updated sports physical form (MSHSAA-PPE-MH-SSMB) for the upcoming school year.
